EYE = OPENED.

Facebook isn't really pointless, you know?
Yeah, I belong to those breed of people who are always on a complaining how useless Facebook is, and yet log onto it all day. But, let's ignore that part for now.
Because, for the first time, I'm writing on something, that played a prominent part in changing my perception about the way I perceive something.

Suppose, If I put forth a question to you people, right now. The question being : 'What, according to you is education?'
I wouldn't be wrong to assume the fact that almost 90 % of you all are going to claim that Education is going to school and attending some boring lectures and mugging them up and vomiting it in the exam paper.
But, what if I tell you, it's not just that?

What do you have to say to that?

What if I tell you, it also includes personality development?

Education also means knowing that waste, be it of any kind, need to be put in a dustbin and not be littered all around the street, or recycling things we use in our daily life to do our bit for the environment.

A group of 11 people from Mumbai's K.C. College have launched this initiative named 'Parivaratn : A New Beginning' where they strongly believe in the fact that Education isn't makes a man intelligent. It really isn't everything. Personality development is one of the most crucial aspects.
They are targeting street kids between the age of 8-12 years, and each of them is teaching them one creative area of learning, be it Public speaking., Language, Hygiene and daily habits, et al.
Personally, when I read up about their initiative on Facebook ( due to their intelligent marketing strategies), it was an eye opener of sorts, for me. And, the whole purpose of writing this post was to let people know the amazing work these college students are doing!
High time, we stooped making claims of doing something different, and actually implemented.
Give it up for these guys.

Change is indeed here.

And, do make sure, you 'Like' their page on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.www.twitter.com/Parivartan_

Till next time.
Adios, bitches.

Yes, I'm an architecture student and it's not a dream.

Hello, random bored people looking at this text typed by the blogger to describe you. Heh.

My last post, was about 4 months ago. And after that college started. I go to a school of architecture. A semester is coming to an end and trust me, it is not easy, architecture.Blah blah, I can go and on about how boring\awesome my life is, but I choose not to. Yes, I care about you guys.

Oh, if you do follow me on Twitter, you should be knowing that I'm downloading Skyrim. Yes, go crack a arrow in the knee joke that I don't get, BUT I soon will.

Now to something more architectural.. I had my first architectural crit. Basically, architecture students do sheets in their classes. And they are evaluated by the design teacher for internals. For the externals, an architect from a different college\University visits as an externals and talks to each and every student individually about their designs, the concepts and blah blah. So I had mine, a few days ago. And guys, it wuzz aujzome! It was quite funny too. Well, who cares anyway?

On twitter? Follow me, future followers at TZFIZE.

I love using the electric bat that electrocutes the stupid, blood sucking mosquitoes.

Yesterday I was just was just siting in front of the monitor and using my lovely PC. I am doing nothing to disturb the world peace. I was minding my own fucking business. I was practically doing nothing to disturb anyone, or anything, just when the first little fly came buzzing next to my ear. I killed it. It pissed me off. And after that ghazziilliioonnss of the stupid mosquitoes came buzzing next to me and started sucking my blood. That's when I knew, I had to take every blood-sucking fly. I knew I had to unleash technology against them. [Enter electric mosquito killing bat]. Zap! Zap, zap! Zap, zap, zaaaaazzzzzppp. Zap. And zap, zap. Zap. There I was, sitting on my simple chair among the dead, electrocuted bodies of the mosquitoes. I did feel a little guilt, but I had to do it, for me. Zaappp!

GTalk. I love GTalk. I'm on it 24/7. The messages are zoomed to my friends thanks to the lovely push service. You know what they should do? They should add the "Display the current track being played" for the statuses, being able to send files, comment on Statuses, look at other display pictures and also bring in the SDR [Sent, delivered, read] thingy. From what I've heard, Video and Voice calling will be introduced in GTalk very soon. So, that's that.

Google, you impress me.

Hello, unknown person. How do you do?

Today is Friday, 5th August. And tomorrow is 6th. Phbbbbbttt! My university opens on 22nd August. You have no idea how excited I am. For so many months, mera ho gaya :P

[Pic courtesy: Marmik]

22nd August! That's the day a new phase of my life starts. And I hope a better one. And what's with so many people missing their schools? I have spent my 14 good years at the same school that was right opposite my house, and I still don't miss it. Maybe it's because Maharishi Vidya Mandir is still in front of my house.

Everyone thinks I wake up at 5 AM because they receive a text from me saying "Good Morning". Haha, retards! Guess they have never heard of SMS Scheduling apps :P

Ohh, I watched the Source Code last night. It is amazing, the movie. But I was just hoping it could be longer than it really is. I'd definitely give it 4.5/5.

Here's an architectural fact:
Charles Correa designed the Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalay, the museum at the Sabarmati Ashram. Also the LIC Building in Outer Circle, New Delhi. Yes, the old man still lives.

Mumbai - The city of dreams.

Hey Guys,

I am new to blogging so don’t mind if I go off the track.

Btw. I am Asad. I live in Mumbai but I don’t think I am exaggerating about Mumbai in the post written hereunder :

I am writing about the City which never sleeps, Bombay. (Mumbai for Shivsenis)

“India's financial capital, Bombay ranks first in housing, socio-cultural political environment and economic infrastructure” – (Rediff.com)

Bombay is Bombay and nothing comes close to Bombay !
Bombay has these places where you can see “LOVERS” making out or cuddling - like Chowpatty, Marine Lines (Lover’s Line is always there whether its monsoon or summer or winter), Carter Road (read the earlier bracket), Bandstand (read the bracket ^here) and on and on !

Colaba is the place if you love SHOPPING !

Don’t miss out on Irani Café’s like “Kayani” at Dhobi Talao and Irani Bar if you booze – “Café Leopold” – Colaba.

Bombay is a city of love and affection. The city is always welcoming its guest as it is shown in ads – “Atithi Devo Bhava” which means “The Guest is God”

Bombay also has some great Institutes to study in except this college -> (Rizvi Commerce and Arts) like St’ Xaviers and GLC (Government Law College)

Bombay is the place where anybody can settle down and make money (Like Dhirubhai Ambani did). This entire place asks for “Unique Brain” and “Hard Work” and you obviously would make to the place where they are, I swear on it.

Bombay is having a bad time at the moment with all those terrorists coming and hitting up here but Bombay stands united against theses MoFkrs.

One should come and visit this wonderful place at least once to experience what Bombay is ! *Three Cheers For BOMBAY*

I don’t know what else to write and my brain isn’t working either.

Its already 6.03 A.M. on my laptop.

Thanks for reading whatever I wrote.

You can write to me about the post at qkuick@gmail.com.

Till then, Cya.

Asad.

Time And Tide Wait For None.

Note: The title has nothing to do with the post. Trust me on this.

Architectural Fact: Sansad Bhavan or more famously known as the Parliment Of India. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. It's basically a huge building that is circular and filled with ghazzziillliionns of pillars. Also, Sir Edwin Lutyens designed Delhi.

So, now time for bullshit..

A few days ago, I was in Arakkonam [Vellore District, TN]. I was really bored when I was there. There I was sitting near the road, inside my uncle's shop. I took out a bit of paper and a pen. Drew what was in front of me, keeping in mind the method of drawing using the one point perspective or also known as the single point perspective. This is what I ended up with:

And this is what it really looks like:

It sucks. I know, right?

This Post Has 4 pictures!

Today's Architectural Fact: Today I'm going to talk about a building that really doesn't exist. A building that replaced a really old, but classy hotel. Yes, people, the HQ of the GNB in New York designed by our very own Theodore Mosby. The GNB HQ replaces The Arcadian. The architect also dumped his girlfriend to build this building. Ha! That's the way, bro! Anyway, the rest, well isn't history, we still don't know if this building is real. Aahh, fuck you.

In the last post, I told you about the Notre Dame du Haut and I didn't post the pic. Here it is: [and hey, I am being sweet]

Also, follow Marmik cuz he's cool. He sent me this pic. Damn funny it is:

And the fourth pic. I was chatting with this friend of mine on Facebook and here's a part of it:

Damn funny right? I know. :D

Fuck "mutual" sex. Go rape.
